Actor, Improviser, Very Funny Lady
Hello and welcome to my official website! I’m Shira Wilson, a Chicago-based actor, improviser, singer, voiceover talent, giraffe expert, and competitive cooking enthusiast. A goofy gal with serious side, eccentric and sharp, emotionally intuitive, a desire to pet every dog. A bit of a Zooey Deschanel and Kristin Wiig type...with a generous dash of Bea Arthur.
As a former Seattleite, Chicago has welcomed me with open arms and -20° wind-chill! Since my arrival I earned my BA in acting at Columbia College Chicago, completed the iO Improv Training program, and graduated from the Second City Training Center Conservatory and Music Improv Conservatory. I've studied on-camera work at Vagabond School of the Arts and recently graduated as an ensemble member at The Black Box Academy.
I perform improv regularly at Laugh Out Loud theater in both Chicago and Schaumburg, as well as with the celebrated improvised musical Baby Want's Candy. Check See Me! for up-to-date performance information, including stand-up and sketch.
If my website has you thinking, "I need to see more!" please don’t hesitate to contact me regarding auditions, representation, or any questions you may have about the noble giraffe.
